Bed Tents

The adult-in-training spent the last few years in her room. This is not news. The unseen teen is a staple in American homes. Our is an extreme case — she had the Marcel Proust thing going, she rarely left her bed. If she’d had an en suite bathroom, her life at home would have been perfect.

Now she’s taken her weighted blanket and jetted off to a college 3,000 miles away. She missed Room Service in the beginning, but now she’s shockingly capable of sustaining life without us. There’s just one problem — the only child now has a roommate.

Problem solved: the bed tent. Now she has the privacy that lets her sleep if she goes to bed before her roommate. She and her new podmates took it out camping; she reports it’s as easy to fold up as it is to assemble.

I was unaware these things existed. Parents of children with issues, soldiers deployed to distant countries, and college students are very aware. For them, these thin nylon, easily assembled, easily disassembled semi-tents are sleep savers — and much more. They come in colors: Black. Blue. Gray. Pink. Tan. And in sizes. BUYER REPORTS FROM THE CAMPUS

I purchased this bed tent for my granddaughter’s first college year. Her dorm room was small, with 2 twin beds, very little privacy, sharing with a stranger. My granddaughter likes late night studying, laptop on, etc., plus she loves a “bed nest” with lots of pillows and blankets. This tent has been the bomb for her, she can’t stop raving about it! Total private space, lots of room, able to sit upright, cozy interior, able to shut out light to nap in daytime, keeps her light from roommate. In morning, zip up tent, presto neat appearance. Other kids now want one too!

I used this my freshman year of college in the dorms because I had to share a room. This probably saved whatever dignity I had left.

BUYER REPORTS FROM PARENTS

I bought this for my child who is autistic and had been hiding himself under the bed to relax in the dark.

My eight-year-old autistic son loves his Pop Tent! He promised he would sleep in his own bed if I bought him one. He has not been in my bed since.

This will help your little one (or a big one!) get to sleep quicker and more comfortably. Children with autism become overwhelmed quickly by open spaces, and it does not matter how small or large their bedroom happens to be.

My son loves his tent he feels safer and has his own safe place… Best product I have ever got him. Asbergers makes the world a scary place for my son and this product has helped him with his anxiety about being unsafe in his room .. worth every penny!

My son loves this tent. He has sensory issues and this helps to calm him when he goes to sleep.

My 13-year-old grandson has ADHD and has trouble getting and staying asleep. When he got up this morning, the first thing he said was “give it 5 stars.” He says it was his best night’s sleep ever. Definitely worth the price.

Like so many children with autism, our 6 year old grandson had very irregular and challenging sleep patterns. After reading an article on cocooning for children with autism, I ordered this bed tent and WOW! What a difference it has made. His parents put it on the bed right before his bedtime, and he was over-the-moon excited. He went right to bed, on time, and slept all night uninterrupted. It’s been several months now, and the results are still fantastic. He also goes to the tent during the day if he’s feeling tired or overwhelmed. I wish we’d had this years ago, but grateful to have found it now.

BUYER REPORTS FROM THE MILITARY

Bought this for deployment and it has been the best purchase I’ve made to help me get through living with 12 other people.

Bought for my son who is going on his 3rd tour in Iraq this month. He will get a lot of use out of this.
