Last week, Dylan Farrow published an op-ed about being molested by her father, Woody Allen, when she was 7.

This weekend, Woody Allen responded.

I’ve read a lot of commentary. He said. She said. He is. She is.

Whipsawed by the commentary, I thought of “The Hunt.”

This Danish film is about molestation of a child.

It is not — repeat: not — a metaphor for whatever did or didn’t happen in an attic in Connecticut.

It’s about a teacher who is falsely accused of molesting a child.

Falsely accused. And everything that happens after that.

Here’s the preview.

Here’s the director talking about the film and showing a scene.

You may recognize the actor. Mads Mikkelsen played James Bond’s nemesis in “Casino Royale.” And was the star in one of my favorite movies, After the Wedding. He won Best Actor at Cannes last year for “The Hunt.”

Dramatic? More like intense. Extremely intense. And unforgettable.
