TaoTronics Space Heater

Baby, it’s cold inside. That’s because my apartment is a block from the East River, and my street can be a wind tunnel. It’s also because my living room walls are glass, which is pleasant in summer, not in winter. And then there’s the third strike. I’m on the 2nd floor, directly above the building’s private garage. Yes, heat rises. So does cold. And you haven’t lived until your floor feels like a hockey rink.

Some sort of space heater was necessary. There are so many, and the specs baffle me. Then I saw a heater made by TaoTronics. My favorite brand! I’m writing this in the soft glow of the TaoTronics Desk Lamp. [Click here for my rave review and buy links.] And I’ve been using the TaoTronics Light Therapy device, which keeps my mood a bit sunnier than it might be. [Click here for my review and buy links.]

The TaoTronics space heater is equally first class. It’s a 24” monolith. A discreet black. Weighs 4 pounds. If Steve Jobs designed a space heater, this would be it. [To buy the space heater from Amazon, click here.]

The features include everything but two Triple A batteries for the remote.

It heats up to 70°F in 3 seconds to quickly provide warmth for 300 square feet. There are three heating modes, and it self-adjusts for the right temperature between the temperature in the room and the temperature you’ve set. It oscillates 70 degrees. There’s overheat protection. It shuts off automatically if the cat knocks it over.

Last year, without this heater, my monthly heating bill was astronomical. This year, it won’t be. For once, I’ve bought something that paid for itself a month after I bought it.
