Assuming these gifts to be shockingly expensive, Butler has never gone to the Harry and David website to find out how much this prize gifts goes for. (I just checked. Three months of the Fruit-of-the-Month Club is $70. I'll let you imagine what twelve months cost.).

So Butler was surprised, on a recent family trip, when Mrs. B practically jumped up and down at a hotel newsstand. It seems that Mrs. B had once consumed a Moose Munch Bar or three, and had quickly elevated this Harry and David product to her must-have list. And here they were. Who knew Harry and David even made these things?

In that hotel lobby, with our child looking on, the Butlers did a number on a Munch Bar. And Butler agreed --- it's everything you want, all in one bar. Caramel popcorn. Chocolate truffle fondant. Nuts: almonds and cashews. Toffee bits. Chocolate (two kinds).

$16 (plus shipping) buys you just three Munch Bars. But each is 12 ounces. And you really can't have more than one a day. So...yes, this is one pricey confection. But then, after you have one, it's really an addiction.
